Sodium hypochlorite generator has been increasingly used for drinking water disinfection in more and more water plants. 

The disinfection device of sodium hypochlorite generator mainly consists of several parts, including salt melting device, electrolysis 

device, rectification equipment, water mixing system, automatic control device, and medicine storage tank. The core part, the 

electrolysis device, is composed of a special metal material coated with rare metal nano coatings such as platinum, ruthenium, 

iridium, and rhodium as the anode, and a corrosion-resistant special metal material as the cathode, forming a closed electrolytic 

cell container. Moreover, the electrolytic cell is equipped with a backwash system and a cooling system inside. The main 

advantages of this device are low cost, good disinfection effect, and no by-products, making it a popular device today.

When the water plant disinfects the raw water, the sodium hypochlorite generator operates, saving time and effort: the operation 

of the equipment can be detected through the PLC control cabinet, and the automatic configuration and concentration detection 

system of the electrolyte can accurately configure and use the electrolyte. Many water plants replace their equipment due to 

previous reports of hazardous accidents. The sodium hypochlorite generator equipment uses high current and low voltage, 

adopts a rechargeable design, and uses multiple designs to ensure safe operation of the water plant disinfection equipment 

while reducing operating costs and electrolysis efficiency.
